The Volkswagen I.D. CROZZ has style, substance, and perhaps best of all for some buyers, sustainability. Based on a Modular Electric Drive, or MEB, this Volkswagen delivers 302 horsepower and can travel for up to 311 miles before a recharge. When It does come time to juice up, the I.D. CROZZ’s battery can be charged to 80 percent in just half an hour (with a 150-kilowatt fast charger). The I.D. Crozz also features an augmented reality head-up display, and can drive autonomously in “I.D. Pilot” mode.

Volkswagen will reveal this car at the “Auto Shanghai 2017” show, with production expected to be sometime in 2020. The I.D. Crozz is dubbed a CUV or crossover utility vehicle, and it is the third addition to the Volkswagen I.D. family. It is future-forward and gives us all a taste not only of what the future of Volkswagen looks like. It also is a testament to Volkswagen’s effort to evolve into a more eco-conscious car company

A CROZZ of Space and Style

Even though the Volkswagen I.D. CROZZ sports sleek, windswept styling and a low roofline, it actually has just as much space as the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan. The designers at Volkswagen made sure that this car offered the best of many segments. It’s a crossover in every sense of the word – from crossing the divide from fossil fuel to sustainable electric power to offering the utility of a small SUV, and the performance of a sports sedan, with the open interior that can only be achieved with an electric powertrain.
